In a better place

With much bittersweetness, sadness, and grief,
I said goodbye to my grandma who raised me 'til 10,
When she passed last Wednesday something in me broke
I want to ride bikes again,
because she first taught me how
Can't say I fully loved her when she was alive
Can't say I don't have regrets
All I know is that,
This woman worshipped God and wanted me to do the same

The Sunday sermon today was pretty moving. The faith of the centurion was a passage that always convicted me. Because my faith is easily swayed by personal circumstances and academics, the faith of that Roman soldier is even MORE marvelous. I dream that one day my faith would help people see Jesus like how the centurion's faith is so radical for his time T.T Got a lot to learn and grow from though....

A few prayers:
To be in a marathon with God, not a sprint. To be faithful to him continuously.
From 1 Corinthians reading, to feel like one body with the church, and pray for a church building.

Side note, I saw this Buzzfeed article. Not too sure of what to think about it. From a feminist perspective, yes, a woman is much more than just her sexuality. But I wonder if that was the initial intention? Did Emma or her PR team really think that given the current culture, people would welcome the picture with open arms, or even passing it as just another celeb pic? Or does she think it will somehow change the way we view women's sexuality?

Hi, I like blogging. I'm super inconsistent but I wanna try. 

I love Jesus. He's singlehandedly rescued me and will continue to do so.

I like learning. I like school but I'm not too great at it. 

I go to this school called Georgia Tech and I major in Industrial Engineering. Most people don't know what it is. The people who do know make fun of it, so whatever.

I like musicals. A LOT. They're just really fun, and they tell great stories through music. Some current favorites are Legally Blonde and Hamilton.

I also like Disney movies but that's probably not a surprise from my love for musicals.

I enjoy working out. Friends say I should start lifting because I'm a wimp but I will stay loyal to my love for aerobic exercises. 

I'm not too great at writing but I really want to be. I admire the ability to express thoughts and opinions eloquently.

I wanna love life more. I want to be passionate about the things I do, and the people I meet, and want to share that passion through this blog. 

In this world of madness, I shall remain calm.
